Apple Wins $120 Million in Slide-to-Unlock Patent Infringement Case Against Samsung

Apple has finally won a patent infringement case against its arch-rival Samsung in the US Supreme Court. Samsung now has to pay $120 million in damages to Apple for infringing on two patents: the slide-to-unlock gesture and the quick links patent, which turns addresses and phone numbers into interactive links.

This isn’t the end of Apple and Samsung’s legal battles, however. This is only the end of one case. The two still haven’t put an end to their much bigger lawsuit — the one that originally gave Apple more than a $1 billion win against Samsung, which has since been whittled down to closer to $400 million. That case returns to court in May to debate how the damages should be calculated.

  1. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment?s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
